famiclone cart quirks

Recommended Posts

Just a goofy observation:

I have a few clone consoles.

My Micro Genius won't play the two pirate carts I have, but have NO problems playing the legit Famicom titles I own.

The Super Joy (N64 style controller) will play the 111-in-1 from my Penguin clone. But will not play the 60-in-1 from the Power Joy controller/lightgun combo.

Since when does a pirate console prefer legitimate carts? :D

Then again, I think the Micro Genius was made before the days of the NOAC clones, since it is an older console....

I got a GNTwin console, and it does a great job on every Genny and NES game I've put in (thoughI don’t think I have any of the trouble games anywas.

But one observation is that the NES carts are hard as hell to pull out of the system. If they weren’t so well built, I’d be conserned about damageding them.
