From what I've read a few months ago, the game was only going to allow players to use/buy pre-constructed decks. Wizards doesn't want something thats going to compete with Magic Online.

I played the hell out of the original. About a year ago I found out there was a patch so I could play on my new system and probably still play a least a couple times a week.

It has been some time since I looked but Magic online you actually had to buy packs of cards, screw that, you could spend a weeks pay just trying to get a decent assortment of cards.

I stopped playing and collecting real world Magic in the late 90's and really enjoyed being able to play with all the old cards on my computer. I want a game that gives me a nice set of (preferably old) cards so I can play the game, not spend my time trying to collect cards to make a deck I want. Even if the went by editions as long as the price is fair that would be fine, start with the base game and then they could sell expansions like Legends, Ice Age and such for $10 -$20.

Now you got me curious. I'll see what I can find out about this.......

It's not going to be what you think. There are going to be 8 pre-constructed decks that you can purchase and play with. Those that buy the game early on will get a special promo Garruk Wildspeaker card mailed to them. The GUI looks pretty, but it will get boring real fast to M:TG veterans.

I wish it had a deck editor, from what I read you can't even switch cards between your decks. I might consider it if it is $20.

And if anyone ever needs old magic cards I got thousands.
