Reaperman #5 Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) no, no you can't. At least not in my experience. taking out the lockout chip means the game will *boot*, not force your nes to output pal video. Games may not display correctly. while some games might work, Elite (which is the PAL game I'd like to play) clearly needs the nes to output 50hz video. (my monitor can handle both 50 and 60 hz) disabling the lockout chip does not magically transform your nes into a PAL compatible machine.
