Supercharger Mod- what to test with?

I just modded my Supercharger but how do I know the mod is working right? Which 2600 games are known to fail on original SC but works on modded version with switch in compatible mode? The SC works fine in Supercharger mode with SC games.

Try it out with Demon Attack, Trickshot, or Atlantis roms, those crash the unmodded SC. I think some of the activision ones also have problems, possibly Frostbite and Ice Hockey.

Unfortunately I think I screwed up something because when I try to play the SC in 2600 compatible mode, I get flashing black and green screen. I redid the connection and now I can't even get the SC to work at all in either mode (black/green scren)

.. I haven't attempted to mod my SuperCharger, because I don't want to take the risk of screwing it up and not being able to play the SC games let alone the 2K and 4K ones that work without the mod. A suprisingly large # do.. I never ever thought I'd play Coke Wins, Chase the Chuckwagon or Music Machine, but SC made it possible.

The Supercharger mod is easy to do, and its well worth it.

The hardest part was mounting the switch! I did not cut the board as the docs showed, what I did was mount the switch on the outside.

Its best to go slow and take your time, ask question if you need to.

But when your done you have something nice to show off.

I now load all 2k and 4k games plus all the Supercharger games from CD rom. I now can play games like Boing! and other that would cost a ton of money if bought on ebay. I will take some pictures and post it here this week of the SC mod.

I modded mine and I'm a total idiot!

 

Granted, it took a tweaking or two (am I Tom Hanks enough for you?) but it works great now. Simple, really, once you get the hang of controlling the ammount of solder.

 

What kind of switch did you use, Guy? Mine has a huge one sticking out of the side of it. It looks kinda like a dog's tongue protruding from a car window and flapping in the wind. I also made the hole for the switch entirely too big but I guess I'm stuck with that. Luckily, I've got a second Supercharger as a back-up.
