a question about my 1040 STF innards

Recommended Posts

I recentlty opened up my 1040 STF to see if I could determine its RAM, and now have a small cylindrical brass(?) piece whose location I do not know. I would appreciate any help getting it back to where it belongs.

Thanks. I did not initially know which screws anchored the floppy, and had removed said screws while taking the cover off.

P.S. Its great that I can post 'where does X piece go?' and get an answer in a few minutes!

Yep.

There's also only one place for it to go as well, as the other three black posts fit into holes that 3-screws go through to secure the floppy drive.

Oh hell, here have a photo!! :)

LOL. "This week I have mostly been eating Scotch Eggs!"

I'll do another picture when I get round to it. About to sell on an STFM, so will take the picture when I check it all over.
