PressureCooker2600 #26 Posted February 24, 2009 What achievement is your most treasured? I can't think of one off the bat because I have so many.....but I know I will feel VERY rewarded when I get 'Zombie Genocider' on Dead Rising. I'm working my way up there......mowing down zombies like it's nobody's business.

Call me when you beat something that I care about, like Super Mario Bros 3. Oh you beat Halo 3 on legendary and your showing it off to everybody??? WELL LOOK AROUND YOU SO HAS EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE UNIVERSE!!! It's just armor, and you can only use it for online play, so who cares.
+HammR25 #29 Posted May 23, 2009 I just played a Tom Clancy game that basically gives you an achievement for starting the game.
RARusk #30 Posted May 24, 2009 "Soul Calibur IV" has an Achievement for LOADING up the game let alone press start.

MetalSlime23 #32 Posted May 24, 2009 "Soul Calibur IV" has an Achievement for LOADING up the game let alone press start. I laughed at that one too. The achievements for eating the different kinds of fruit in Pac Man and Mr. Pac Man were also kind of lame.
2600Lives #33 Posted May 24, 2009 Generally, I don't really give a crap about achievements. If they don't actually give you something in game (like Mass Effect...now THERE were some achievements worth getting), then I don't try for them. But, I guess the ones that I'm most proud of are SF4. Play 500 Live battles, and win 100 Live battles. In Player mode, I won 28 matches in a row, but you only get the achievement for beating a certain number of opponents in a row on Ranked. At last check, I was up to like 880 online battles, and had about a 75% win ratio, but I've given up SF4 for a bit, as it was getting REALLY boring fighting nothing but Sagat/Ryu/Ken/Bison all the damn time, and I was just getting tired of the game in general. They need to release some downloadable characters or something.

Exactly, I know people say Achievements add more life to the game, but honestly, if the game is worth a damn to begin with, I'll eventually get around to getting everything possible in it, if not, no amount of sugar coating is going to really help it, it's kinda like slapping graphics on a turd and expecting it somehow to be better. Sorry, but that doesn't cut it for me. That being said, any achievement that is given for doing some non spectacular event (like starting, or hell, finishing a game) are really blah. At least something like "you found all the secrets" makes some sort of sense as an achievement, I know I certainly never found all dooms secrets (PC version which is why I never understood the ragging cause the "put console here" version of the game didn't havve "all" the secrets)
