keilbaca Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 That 360 most likely has a heatsink off. The X-Brackets suck, and they do tend to pop off, sounds like that's what your issue is. Tony Yes, i transferred all my games to my new 120 hard drive i got. but yes it works great, and no controller with it, i kept it so i will have an extra controller. The machine I'd resell for whatever the dogs on eBay would give me. I just happen to need a hard drive and power brick... and that would cost about $75 from the typical sources. I just wish I had $75, this would be a perfect victim... errr... subject... to a mod that I want to do, I want to mod a 360 into a PC case. If any of you don't mind digging into opening the 360, that fix for his is extremely easy to fix. Its either one or the other, a heatsink came loose on the inside, or the fans died on the back of the 360. Either one can be fixed very easily. The first one is just throwing some bolts through the same holes as the X Bracket, the second one is removing the fans that are in the 360, bolting two 60mm fans to the case, and hard wiring the hot and ground of both fans to the ground and a 12v point on the xbox 360 motherboard.
