My name is Earl - REALLY obscure video game reference

Just saw this...

 

A tribal guy goes to another guy and says there's going to be a Donkey Kong kill screen in the tent.

 

WTF?

 

My Name is Earl has done video game references several times before, but to reference that annoying dork from King of Kong? Quite a reach there. I'm impressed. Only 12 people would have gotten that.

 

I'm convinced one of the writers on My Name is Earl is on here. Show yourself!

 

This goes beyond the Missile Command episode of Chuck.

All those ghost hunting tv shows say "Make a noise to let us know you're here."

 

I'm going to say it:

 

"If you write for My Name is Earl say "Yuppicide!" in an episode to let us know you're here. You don't have to reveal yourself."

I saw it and got the reference instantly, but why they chose to use it in an obiviously unecessary scene is beyond me.
