Would an XEGS + 1050 fit in an ST Mega4's case?

Recommended Posts

Might be an interesting project.

There's a bare-bones ST Mega4 case on eBay. I was just thinking, an XEGS should fit with plenty of room to spare, but the 1050 as well might be pushing it.

Naturally it would involve some hacking of the case, and also likely pulling the 1050 into it's major components and mounting wherever they'll fit.

wow.. what an excellent idea!! even more excellent would be the xf551 modded for 3.5" fitted into a mega case.

WOW.

That's probably doable. put the xe board in along the left edge, xf board under the floppy, retain power supply from the mega

Good question. I was thinking of 1200xl myself the other day when I say a mega4 going cheap on ebay...

Good idea rybags, all that needs to be done is re wire the xegs console and power button keys to the top or front of the mega st case and hack the keyboard connector to the mega st case as well (and also another sio port for addit. 1050 or xf551)
