Ian Primus #1 Posted March 1, 2009 I just bought a Vectrex, and I'm looking for more games - as well as commons/dupes to use as donor carts for making up my own. Anyone got any they'd like to part with? Also, I heard rumors of new manufacture cart housings and boards being available... Any ideas where I could buy some? Thanks! -Ian

For some reason, I have 3 copies of Star Trek on the Vectrex. Let me check what might be able to part with... --Selgus
+selgus #3 Posted March 1, 2009 You might also want to order some homebrew carts from John here and reprogram the EPROM. I am not sure if he solders the chip directly to the boards, but I got one from him with just the bare board and a socket on it. I used that in my EPROM emulator with a ribbon cable connected to it. --Selgus
Ian Primus #4 Posted March 1, 2009 Yeah, I sent him an email already, asking about empty cart casings and blank boards. I have heard that there is a source for them, and just haven't found it. Are his carts made with custom boards, or hacked production boards? I plan on ordering a game or two from him anyway, since he's got some cool stuff. And yeah - definitely interested in any dupes. -Ian

I was just looking through my carts for someone else too (though 7800 ones), so I found a few I could part with. The board I got from John was a new PCB, not a reused one. It was a clean design too. --Selgus
Richard H. #6 Posted March 3, 2009 John (Dondzila) sells the repro Vec cart cases too (made by Sean Kelly), and the PCB's (I designed). He took over from Mark Shaker a couple of years ago. BTW the guy's a legend. He started the whole Vectrex homebrew scene.
