DracIsBack #76 Posted April 23, 2009 Any of that type of fan boy talk is foolish in the modern era when it doesn't really matter which system is better than another in one area or another. It's not like we're just limited to a choice of just one system these days like many were back then. It's easy enough to collect for most systems and nearly all systems are easily accessible via emulation. Interesting that you've made an assessment about what I collect and don't collect from this one little post I didn't say I didn't like the ADAM (or Coleco) at all. I was replying to the note about pigeon-holing all TRS-80 computers together. I prefer my CoCo III to the ADAM but I'll take an ADAM any day of the week over that goofy MC-10 and TRS-80 Model IV I had.
Tempest #77 Posted April 23, 2009 Please stay on topic. This is about ADAM related subjects, lets keep the rabid fanboyism out of this thread (pro or anti ADAM). Tempest

Actually, I was basically siding with you against the original commenter, so you misinterpreted my response. I was merely stating that any type of "fanboyism" or favoritism really is misguided in the modern era. You can certainly like one platform or subsystem over another if prompted, but there's not much point in bringing a system down unprompted. All systems have their merits and points of interest. retroillucid #79 Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) The little known Summer 1983 edition of the Coleco Vision Experience Magazine. This edition stars the Coleco Adam model with the stringy wafer drives on the cover; Tac/Scan in the "Whats New?" section and a two page spread covering Super Game Packs for the Super Game Module. Can someone scan this Colecovision Experience issue? This is the first time I see it I though there was only 3 Experience issues Edited February 17, 2010 by retroillucid
jeremysart #80 Posted February 19, 2010 I love my ADAM, she sets right beside my IBM 5150 and my PS/2 286 w/ windows 3.1 I just love the expressions people give when I fire it up and play Donkey Kong on it. Its such a goof, poorly designed computer, you just have to love its charm.
