nathanallan #1 Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Sega Master System: Do PAL games play on NTSC consoles? I have heard different things, and have the chance to buy some, but need to figure out if they will work. Anyone with experience? Please let me know. Thanks!! +Psionic #2 Posted March 8, 2009 Sega Master System: Do PAL games play on NTSC consoles? Yes, 99% of them will work fine...there's only a handful that have issues.
Tempest #3 Posted March 8, 2009 There's a list of the PAL games that have issues, but it's not too many. Back to the Future II and III come to mind. Tempest

nathanallan #5 Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks guys, I'll start looking for these now. Has anyone noticed that the Australian dollar is way down compared to USD? I may start buying from there.
DracIsBack #6 Posted March 8, 2009 that's one of the great things about the SMS. Almost everything works no matter where you are in the world. Lots of cheap games to be had from Europe (due to abundance) that never got released in North America. I think 3 or 4 games for every one in this side of the pond. I once snagged a rare copy of GOLDEN AXE warrior because the seller mistakenly thought it was "for PAL only" and said it wouldn't work on NTSC. Works great and I paid $7 instead of $45.
