jc78_2005 #1 Posted March 11, 2009 ok so i have been browsing the huge selection of 8 bit games. i have found several fighting games, what i havent seen , is one like double dragon. is there a dd type game for the 8 bits?original or homebrew? i ask because rampage and double dragon are the 2 games that are keeping my 7800 home. i know i can get my rampage on on the 8 bit. just need a dd alternative now. Heaven/TQA #4 Posted March 11, 2009 well... don't expect too much from the A8 Rampage compared to the 7800...
+CharlieChaplin #5 Posted March 11, 2009 Well, no DD game on the A8, at least none I know of... but here are some fighting games: - Karateka - International Karate / World Karate Championships - Chop Suey - Ninja Master (oh what a boring one!) - Ninja (not really a fighting game, but with some elements) - Ninja Commando (I call it a jump and run type game, but some count it for the fighting genre) - Bruce Lee (definitely a jump and run, but one can choose the 2-player option and fight one another) - how about boxing? Fight for Life, errrr, Fight Night comes to mind - Knock out boxing (by Rushware or Anco) - another boxing game (by Anco or Rushware) - or street fighting ?!? polish game "Riot" comes to mind (I don`t like it, but anyway...) and some PD stuff: - Kung Fu (type-in Basic listing from Computer kontakt) - Karate Champ II (compiled Basic) - Bruce Lee`s return (TB XL by M.Guntersdorfer) - Karate Master (originally Atari Basic, but you probably know Homesoft...) - and some more just search atarimania with their advanced search options... -Andreas Koch. Fres #8 Posted March 12, 2009 Never really cared for these myself, but Fight Night and Bop n Wrestle might be similar.
miker #9 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) What else comes to mind... OK, so now here are some less serious fighting games: - The Terminator - Jurassic Park - Renegade (yeah - it really wants to be it...) - Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade (yeah - as above, now what's different?) What about some "Fake games" topic - there are many of them on 8-bit. And some more serious: - Riot - Droga Wojownika Btw. "Yie Ar..." project is not dead, just sleeping a bit now. miker #12 Posted April 6, 2009 It "dies" when you reach 20000 points regardless of PAL/NTSC system. It's still demo version.
