games and Dinosaurs

So what are the current gen games that have dinosaurs in them?

 

I know about King Kong on Xbox / Xbox360 -- it portrayal of the raptors and Rexes is fantastic. However a question - I played thru the game on Xbox - anybody know if the X360 version is truly any better? I seem to remember that it wasn't much different and in fact too dark or something on 360.

 

But other than that, where are the Jurassic Park games? Did Comcom ever upgrade the old PSX/DC game which was resident evil w/dinosaurs? ( I'm forgetting the name right now)

Well there's Turok for 360, played the demo off live and it didn't impress to be honest.

 

Think the other game your talking about is Dino Crisis by the Resident Evil guy?

 

Best dino game i know is Jurassic Park operation Genesis for the Xbox1.

I looked all over in local stores for JP Operation Genesis and haven't seen it for like 3 years. Nobody must trade it in, and nobody carries it new anymore. So do you think JPOG is a good game on Xbox1? Is it very dated visually now?

funny you should ask my girlfreind was playing it for 2 hours straight again last night before going back to Fallout 3. She adores it! The graphics are very nice as far as animation, weather & water effects goes plus in also upscales nicely on the 360 so looks very crisp & clean, still looks good on the original hardware in my opinion too. Some of the missions are really fun too & when you beat them all you get island B and unlimited cash witch is fun!

Too many to think of but Dino Crisis kicked major butt on the PSX. (Not the Xbox version which was Dino Crisis 3).

Dino Crisis 1 and 2 is very much worth tracking down, I wish they can be remaked instead of Resident Evil 1 all the time.

 

Tomb Raider Anniversary features raptors and a T-rex for the Xbox 360 (and PS2)

Im sure there are a zillion more games especially older ones that have sprites that look like dino's.

I own Dino Crisis (on Dreamcast - better visuals but same game as on PSX). You know , I never beat it though. Great, suspensful game. I should dig it out and replay it. I know one scene, when the Rex comes thru a certain window, is one I'll never forget!

 

I played Tomb Raider on Saturn & PS, and I played Tomb Raider Anniversary on PS2. Back with TR1 it was still close to that "Jurassic Park" era and I loved getting hunted by the raptors and Rex. TR3 was a mixed bag, but I loved the jungle w/raptors part. One puzzle, the soldiers had left a dead raptor up in a sling, and you shot it down into the water to distract pihanhas so Lara could swim across. And then there was the gatling gun VS dozens of raptors scene. yep, good stuff. But old & ugly now.

I know....old and ugly. It unfortunate cause they age pretty bad.

 

Yeah the T-Rex scene in Dino Crisis 1 was amazing. Ill never forget that either.

That free Doritos game on Live has dinosaurs in it. T-Rex's anyways.

 

Hmmmm Other than King Kong and Turok I can't think of any.

Dinosaurs just aren't hip anymore I guess.

Ridge Racer 7 has a trackside T-Rex. You don't get to race it though

Well, the PS2 is still cranking out games, so I'd say it's still current gen, so there's Capcom Fighting Evolution, which has the charcter of Hauzer from the Red Earth game.

Ridge Racer 7 has a trackside T-Rex. You don't get to race it though

 

Another reason why Need for Speed II SE is the best racing game ever made as you can not only race as a school bus, but as a t rex
