Remember playing your favorite games at the local arcade, bowling alley, summer camp, or bungalow colony as a kid or teenager?

They seemed larger than life and still do! Remember hearing your favorite tunes on the jukebox when songs were songs and you had to change sides in the middle of the record?

Relive the fun and share it with your friends and family at the Retro Arcade Museum. We’re a fully operational "free play" arcade open exclusively to private events, having recreated the era down to the lava lamps & flip clocks! Play all the games you want for one low hourly price, have a custom catered snack, and choose your own music or vintage television from our enormous catalog of over 35,000 songs and hundreds of classic TV shows!

Over 40 vintage machines always on site dating from 1954 to 1976 – with the feel, sounds and realism that cannot be matched by today’s games. We feature a wide variety of electromechanical and holographic Racing, Shooting, Space themed, Flying and of course Classic Pinball! Special requests can even be made to bring in a specific game from our warehouse.

Scores of classic handheld games are on display by companies like Bandai, Coleco, Entex, Epoch, Mattel, Tandy, etc.

The world’s very first console video games, including examples of virtually all Atari, Magnavox Odyssey, Mattel Intellivision, Telstar, Vectrex and more are on display….some available to play!

Located in picturesque Beacon, NY, renowned for fine art galleries, restaurants, and museums, we are easily accessible from NY, NJ, CT, the Hudson Valley and Westchester -- just over an hour’s drive from NYC, a few blocks from the Metro North Train Station, with plenty of free parking.

That's really beautiful. I remember so many of those machines. I would really love to spend a few hours (days, weeks, months ;) ) in there.

You've got some nice stuff there and nice pictures. I like how you took them all lit up. If I'm ever up that way I'll try to make an appointment to stop by.

Are you anywhere near Mamaroneck or Niagara Falls? I plan to visit both of those this year.

Hi,

Thank you for your comments about the games -- and the lighting. I took the photos with natural light, no flash, so that's really how the room looks.

I am about 45 minutes north of Mamaroneck and on the way to Niagra Falls -- depending on your route north. Hope you can stop by!

Fred

WOW! That's a nice setup you got there Fred and local to boot. I'm across the river in Clintondale (North of Newburgh) just 15 minutes away. I'm really going to have to stop by and check it out in person. At first I didn't think I'd recognize any of those older games ( I'm more of a mid seventies to eighties arcade goer), but I do remember many of them. I do like the Whacky Pack stickers you have framed on the wall!!! I don't know of any kid who grew up in the 70's who didn't buy Whacky Packs!

Hi Sal,

Thank you for your response! Yes...Wacky Packages were mandatory for all of us 70's school kids! There are loads of memorobilia all over the walls and toys like Schaeper "U-Drive It''s" on the shelves --building up daily! Looking forward to meeting you! I am open 2 PM - 10 PM Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment only during the week. Please feel free to call or write anytime.

Best Regards,

Fred

Fred,

Just to clarify, are you open on Saturday & Sunday to walks ins, or is an appointment needed? I thought it said on the website no walk ins.
