atari52 #1 Posted March 15, 2009 Does anyone collect the cartridges, with the dust covers? I have some carts,(same game) that have the dust cover, and some that dont. I like the one's with the covers. the one's that dont have the cover, seem to be cheap and have problems playing. Some of the non, cover carts, dont want to fit right in the six switch Atari systems. +Psionic #2 Posted March 15, 2009 How long did Atari do this? As a cost-cutting measure, Atari Corp. switched to the shells without the dust covers around 1986/87 (after they ran out of the shells leftover from the Warner era). All later 2600 (and 7800) releases have them. The original runs of 7800 carts had dust covers as well, but they were slightly different from the 2600 variety.
