VectorGamer #1 Posted March 18, 2009 I read about how the Atari assembly line featured workers with a soldering iron in one hand and a joint in the other. I have to wonder if the folks at Starpath/Arcadia were trippin' when they came up with games like Commie Mutants and Escape from the Mindmaster... Linkz1 #2 Posted March 18, 2009 I think there's always the possibility. More importantly...was Shigeru Myamoto on the 'shrooms when he conceived the ideas for Super Mario Bros?

Hold the circuit board in one hand and solder the joints to it with the other, right? Or am I missing something here?

lushgirl_80 #10 Posted March 19, 2009 I read this book called the History of Video Games and they talk about how some people working at Atari were total stoners. Something weird like they used to throw these wild parties and have like wet t-shirt contests or something. I saw that movie about Steve Jobs and the part when he does acid was kinda funny. They portrayed him as a real a-hole tho, total womanizer type. Bill Gates did'nt do drugs tho and I don't think anyone at Nintendo did either.
godzillajoe #11 Posted March 19, 2009 Well if you're some loser stoner, the only job you're qualified for is brainless assembly line work. And I don't think it was a stretch in the 80's to come up with Communist Mutant From Space It fact it's sort of a cliche and not very inspired at all And not everyone who came up with a creative idea was on something despite what potheads wanna think. Not that I care, I think it should be legalized, just hate the idea that no one can come up with a great idea unless they're on something.

I agree, alot of the best games I doubt were made by druggies. Prolly some of worst games were made while they were stoned tho lol.... like Ghostbusters for NES. I always think they had to be on crack to make a game that bad.
