Arcade in San Jose Area with classic games

Recommended Posts

Hi all, It's been quite a while since I've been here, other things have just taken up my time.

My wife and I plan to vacation this year in California, we will have some extra time while in the San Jose area. Does anyone know if there are any arcades in the San Jose area that have classic games.

I don't know of any arcades...Andy Capps is long gone :( (and I know, it wasn't in SJ). We were out there for a Computer History Museum event a number of years back. Had a GREAT time out there. Much to do in the SF area in general I think.

I would suggest you do the drive around and find all of the Atari office buildings. I enjoyed seeing where the magic happened. Nolan was quoted as saying something profound about he was responsible for all the cars in the parking lots. I think that lore is pretty cool.

Good luck. Maybe some northern Cali folks will be more helpful.

Its been 5 years since I lived in SJ. I would assume that Santa Cruz board walk would still have one. When I was a kid, Pier 39 had one. I did not see one when I visited back in 2002. I would think the only arcades left are for kids like Chuck E Cheese on I-5 and Tully Rd.
