Favorite Horror Game!

I have a "Rated M For Mature" question. What is your favorite horror game?

Hi Anthony!great topic!I'd say my absolute #1 fave is BLOOD.The 1st couple Resident Evil's for PC were great also.But BLOOD.....1st person shooter horror heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original Alone in the Dark, easily. Although I never finished it - in fact, I'll admit I wasn't very good at it - I love the presentation, and it is one of only a few games that have really made me jump out of my seat.

Not sure if it's horror exactly, but the Marathon trilogy was a great old-school series. Alone in the Dark and Undying seemed pretty good, but I never did finish them. But, currently my favorite would be the Silent Hill series.

Hi guys,

 

Resident Evil used to scare the pants off me. I used to play that game during after hours, and every little sound horrified me to death.

Undying was an AWESOME game! Great weapons, great abilities. Loved every minute of that one!

 

My overall favorite is probably the REMake for the GameCube. Just so atmospheric. A few other ones...

 

The Suffering - Some of the creepiest, most disturbing monster designs ever in a game, and fun as hell, too. In most SH games, you're at some sort of disadvantage, whether it's an inability to fight, or a lack of weaponry. Torque has neither. He blows the hell out whatever comes his way, and when he gets pissed, changes into a huge freakin' monstrosity and literally tears the monsters into pieces.

 

Alone In The Dark - The New Nightmare - This one actually had me freakin' paranoid, as the monsters just sort of pop into existence. There's a scene where you're trying to unlock a door, and as you do, lightning flashes and you see several monsters behind you...BUT, it's just an illusion. I wheeled around and just started blasting all over the place. Man, good times.

 

Clock Tower - The Playstation one (which is technically CT2, but since we didn't get CT1 for the SNES here in the states, it's just CT). Yeah, the first game to really give me nightmares. That little bastard Scissorman...man, I hated him. The fact that you were almost completely helpless didn't help things, either. The atmosphere in this game is just incredible, but sadly, the voice acting is shite.

 

Parasite Eve - A good change up in the formula, and had some great monster designs. The music to this one still sits inside my head to this day.

The Suffering was freakin awesome. That game was unbelievably sick!! Hell, if they made a new game for the 360 or PS3, I would love to put a $5 reserve on it right away!

KILLING TIME.This is a really creepy game.The clowns are the creepiest in the game,as with most games.This is the weirdest game I've ever played.The genious of this game cant be explained.Gotta get this one folks!!!!!!!!!!
