I have a Wii Key, looks like a GCN memory card

It's an adapter to let you use an SD card on the Wii, and it uses the memory card slot, identical to the Gamecube memory cards.

 

I'm wondering, could I use a 64mb card in this thing, save a game from a GameCube, say a Soulcalibur 2 save, and take the SD card to my computer, alter it, and play a modified character?

 

This doesn't really have to be the exact thing I do, just want to take any saved game, mod it on the computer, and have the data be able to be read and understood by the Cube. Any game save ought to work.

 

Has anyone ever tried? Any good links out there to be had??

If I understand correctly what your asking, there is a homebrew app that will copy cube format saves from the SD card to the GC mem card.

I'm not sure how to go about editing the save file. Someone on the TehSkeen forums would probably be able to help though.

Modifying saves was exactly what I was after, but what this thing is is an adapter so you can use an SD card as a memory card. And thanks! Hopefully I can make some headway with it.
