Colecovision's Space Panic Vs. Cosmic Crisis

Um....

Now, Space Panic was released first in '83, right? And Cosmic Crisis in '84? Both are basically the same game less the lack of oxygen (and adjusted graphics), correct? Did Cosmic Crisis copy Space Panic in a sense? Gimme some feedback please.

It's a blatant copy, yes. I'm not sure exactly who programmed Cosmic Crisis, but Bit Corp was based in Taiwan, IIRC, and game cloning was already a striving business back then in that region. Telegames must have been aware that it was just a copy of Space Panic but they acquired the rights to CC anyway.

 

Tank Wars is really a copy of Battle City, and Strike It is a copy of Breakout, so what else can be expected of Bit Corp?
