RJ #3 Posted March 27, 2009 Giving it back (or at least telling them) is the right thing to do- but you already know that, right?
wccw mark #4 Posted March 27, 2009 cool.use free mcboot and soft mod that bad boy!!
STICH666 #5 Posted March 27, 2009 I gave it to my friend. He needed one and anyway it's seals were broken and there was no faceplate on the disk tray. They got a PS3 recently anyway so having both would be pointless.

2600Lives #10 Posted March 28, 2009 WCCW Mark, THANK you for mentioning the Mcboot program! I had no idea you could soft-mod a PS2! Woot!
STICH666 #11 Posted March 28, 2009 What are the risks of completely destroying your PS2?
2600Lives #12 Posted March 28, 2009 I managed to do it tonight. Pretty complex, really, but doable. There's little chance of mucking with the actual hardware, though, as it's just a file you put onto the memory card.
STICH666 #13 Posted March 28, 2009 Ah. I might just buy my cousin's PS2 and do it to his. Can you play imports with mcboot?
2600Lives #14 Posted March 28, 2009 From what I'm reading, yes, you can. You may have to make a copy of it and patch the image with a program, though. Not sure, as I don't have any PS2 copies or imports to try it with. Still, would RULE to have a copy of Darkstalkers Collection.
STICH666 #15 Posted March 28, 2009 Awww I wanted to play it directly off the disk. I was gonna import Initial D Special Stage.
