Mazerati #1 Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) "silver spirit" for the atari computers?? i went into kay bee toys in the late 80's to look through the bin of closeout games and there was this game called "Silver Spirit" in a white box (a plain but professional looking box) on tape for the atari computer and it was like $1.99 so i thought i would pick it up well as it turned out it was THE worst game i have ever bought the idea of the game is sorta like freeway or frogger where u control these silver bunch of speckles against a black backround and on top of the screen was a row of cars (ONLY 1 ROW!) with a space in between one of the cars and u had to guide your silver speckles through the space but the thing that floored me was that everytime u would make it through the line of cars the game would crash! so the game was totally unplayable i cant find ANYTHING about this game on the net.and i was wondering if anybody has ever heard of this game or ever played it Edited March 30, 2009 by Mazerati
www.atarimania.com #2 Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) Never heard of it but your description of the box would indicate a release by some low profile game company from the mid-eighties specialized in budget titles. I don't think K-Tek Software games came in white boxes so that would leave us with either ALA Software or Aim Software. Probably the latter if it was cardboard packaging... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com Edited March 30, 2009 by www.atarimania.com
Fres #3 Posted March 30, 2009 I don't remember that particular one, but I do remember browsing thru the (limited) amount of Atari titles at Kay Bee in the mid 80s. I picked up a white box tape game called "Scorpion" for about $2. It turned out to be pretty boring, if I remember correctly. It was programmed in basic. I wondered who was publishing this stuff back then. I couldn't find any evidence that Silver Spirit or Scorpion ever existed.
