kyle #1 Posted April 1, 2009 Ok I picked up a Jag and I can't get it to work. I think its the power supply. Anyway it looks like it was all well taken care of and came with some games. Here is what I have and all games look to be mint but haven't been tested. Atari Jaguar Syetem, One power supply broken? R/F, Two controlers. I-WAR Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy. In box Kasumi Ninja FLASHBACK Pinball Fantasies Ultra Vortek Hover Strike Iron Soldier Zool 2 Cybermorph Checkered Flag What would be a good asking price as is?? ls650 #2 Posted April 1, 2009 When you put in a cartridge and hit the power button, does the red LED not light up?
kyle #3 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Thats right it doesn't light up. Edited April 1, 2009 by kyle
BuddyBuddies #4 Posted April 1, 2009 a cartridge must be in the system for it to power up. are you selling this lot altogether?
+Stephen Moss #5 Posted April 1, 2009 Thats right it doesn't light up. The power unit should be easy enough to check if you have access to a multimeter/DVM, just measure the output voltage by placing one lead on the outside and one on the inside of the power connector. Is the power unit an original Atari unit? As others have said the Jaguar will not turn on if it does not detect a cartridge, if you have not used a Jag before try using two hands to insert the cartridge. There should be a little resistance and then a bump as the cartridge pops into place. When I first got a Jag I tried inserting the cartridge one handed and it would not work because it was in at a slight angle and not making all the connections required for detection. Hyper_Eye #11 Posted April 1, 2009 All the games in the lot are as common as games come. Still prices are ridiculous right now. If you have everything needed to plug it in and go I am sure you could easily move that lot for $100 or more. I wouldn't pay it but apparently people are paying it. I buy games fairly often but I haven't purchased a system in years so wait for a few more opinions. I remember when EBGames and KBToys were selling these brand new off-the-shelf for $30. There was a website a few years later that was selling working units by themselves (no cables, box, or games) for $7 a pop. I'm really glad I snagged a few of those back then. kyle #13 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Ok I put it for sale in Marketplace here on atariage. As I said everything works great. Just didn't have a game in when I tested it the first time. Asking $85.00 for everything. Edited April 1, 2009 by kyle
Hyper_Eye #14 Posted April 1, 2009 Look at this lot with more than a day left sitting at $70.00: http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-Jaguar-with-one-...93%3A1|294%3A50 That lot will approach $100 before it is over and, IMO, it isn't even worth looking at. It has 4 common games loose and a loose system with a single controller. The lot the OP is looking to sell is a much better lot.
