MADS Mac OS X version

Recommended Posts

as I am new to Mac OS...I have downloaded the Atari800MacX version (and this looks quite better than the Atari800win version...;)) I have downloaded the compiled MADS version for Mac Os x... but I have copied the file into the AtariExeFile folder...

now... I searched for a command window or a terminal window. I found the terminal program and tried to switch to the desired folder... I even remembered the LS command like in the Amiga shell... but I can see the mads file but how do I start the stuff in Mac OS X? ls shows the file but when I am entering MADS it says not such file?

what I am doing wrong?

If MADS isn't in your terminal's $PATH variable then you must type a dot slash before the command

./mads

from the directory it is stored in.

that's it... :) gives me back the Amiga feeling somehow... :)

using Mac OS X for 4 days and I hate to switch back to XP or Vista as they are so ugly and so unlogic...

ok.... now I have Smultron as source code editor plus MADS syntax highlightning... I have to admit that the Mac environment is more creative somehow than the Windows XP one... ;)
