WTB: NES Flash Cart RetroZone PowerPak

Anyone have a used one for less than a new one? I'm going to be picking one of these up in a week or two and would love to save the money buying used.

LOL, thats why I want one besides shipping it to Canada would have cost you at least several hundred. The flash carts are around $135 new, hoping to save anything off that.

Just keep in mind that the first production run of Powerpaks had problems that required a retrofit to said carts IIRC. I'd just buy a new one, so that your name can be tied to it directly in case you ever have to send it back to bunnyboy for a boot rom update or a future repair, etc. By the way, I bought myself a Powerpak for Christmas and I absolutely love it thus far.

Really, thanks for that update! Good news to know. I got the AtariMax Coleco cart for Christmas and it really looks very simular from the screenshots. I can't wait.

One criticism of the Powerpak is that it doesn't auto-sort folders/roms once they are placed on the CF card. You have to add folders/items to the card in the order that you want them to be displayed on the menu on the cartridge itself. I also think I read that the Powerpak doesn't like to read cards smaller than 256MB as well, which shouldn't be an issue since CF cards are dirt cheap. I use a Sandisk Ultra II 2GB card that I got off of Amazon for like $10.

I absolutely love my PowerPak too. As for the files/folders not sorting, I downloaded a "directory sorter" and ran it against my CF card and now all the games/folders are sorted alphabetically.

I believe the CF size issue was fixed in a firmware update. If you buy a new one it will include the update.

Another satisfied user of the powerpak here... I'd buy new as well, for all the reasons stated. this is one thing you will want to be able to send back to the shop for the promised free upgrades as they are needed. I doubt you'd save that much money on a used one anyway as they are pretty high up there an the desirability list and very often the guy is sold out.
