+Mitch
If I remember there are three connections on the trigger switch of which only two are used. Mitch

Mitch yep, there is ground, always open & always closed. You need the ground and one other. Which one you pick depends if you fire when you pull the trigger or when you release it. xZanU
What kind of TV are you firing it at?
Shawn
What kind of TV are you firing it at? Didn't think about that! If it's a tube TV try turning up the brightness. If it's a plasma or LCD, your shit out of luck cause it won't work no matter what you do.
shadow460
Does it shoot at all? If it does, then it's probably the television. I didn't think of that myself when I was reading the post. If it doesn't shoot, or shoots intermittently, replace the cord with a Sega extension cord. You'll need to replace the entire cord all the way up to the circuit board and switch in the gun. The wire colors are different. I believe there are diagrams in the 7800 FAQ with the correct colors and what pins they go to on the plug, so you'll need a Fluke (ok, any multimeter) to check which ones go to the right pins.
