nonner242 #2 Posted April 6, 2009 http://benheck.com/04-05-2009/commodore-64...hardware-laptop I want one. I do too but..... the only problems I see are: 1. No Disk Drive Support.. 2. SD card does not work properly. 3. Huge/Heavy Power supply and No Battery..make it not really portable.. Still want one tho..
Mirage #3 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) It's very slick, but I have to say that it wouldn't be much more compatible (in some ways less compatible depending on what games you're trying to run) than a regular laptop with an emulator. A+ for design/engineering as is the norm for Ben Heck's stuff, but very subpar for an actual C64 replacement for gaming. If he'd used a 1541ultimate, it would be an A as well. Of course, that would add quite a lot to the cost. Oh yeah, and retaining the serial port (he did leave it off, right?) would have made it a lot better. Less important had it had a 1541ultimate, but still, I don't understand that decision at all. Edited April 6, 2009 by Mirage1972
