nathanallan #1 Posted April 11, 2009 What causes this?? I tried using both RF and AV ports, got the same scrolling green lines. I googled around a bit, couldn't find much on the subject. I might not have looked very well. Or is it a more recent thing?? Nathan

If not, then something about the TV you're using doesn't like the SNES. But since you tried both the composite and RF with the same results, I'd say it's in the SNES unit itself. There might also be an outside chance that the SNES is picking up some feedback from another electronic device (remember what would happen when mom would vacuum while you were gaming - all kinds of crazy feedback, etc.). nathanallan #3 Posted April 12, 2009 I tried on two different TV's with the same results. It seems that this is a relatively new problem, as there aren't many posts or complaints in general about it anywhere. A friend of mine has two or three and only one of them does not have these lines in it. Let me be clear, though. The lines aren't fast, or immediately obvious. They are scrolling slowly, and are less like lines and more like scrolling lines of colors that get different, mainly greenish hued. I'll have to look into replacing the chips in there. I wonder if there's an upgrade vid chip for the SNES's?
