Yeah does anybody have any history on this one? Is it a special edition or just one of the color choices? I opened it up and cleaned it out thoroughly and now it works better than my stock N64. MN12BIRD #19 Posted April 13, 2009 But this one is clearly not Japanese. Perhaps they were just much more common in Japan with this color?
STICH666 #20 Posted April 13, 2009 But this one is clearly not Japanese. Perhaps they were just much more common in Japan with this color? Most likely. The N64 was treated better over there anyway. N64DD, many more first party titles, more color choices, ect...
MN12BIRD #21 Posted April 13, 2009 Japan always gets more color choices... grrrr.

swlovinist #23 Posted April 13, 2009 nice find. I have two "smoke" N64 systems and by far my favorite. They don't come up too often in the wild, espically in the trash. That corrosion should be easy to clean. Nice find for free!
DaytonaUSA #24 Posted April 13, 2009 I didn't think the smoke was too hard to find.. I remember just as many in the store as the other colors. My first 64 was the clear green DK64 pack.. i miss that one . I have 2 64s now.. both black. One is a US, the other a Japanese system for my DD. I remember being jealous of the clear orange one as it came out very soon after I got my green DK64 bundle lol.
DaytonaUSA #25 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) LOL, look what you made me do! Dang, I didn't realize these clear systems (of all colors) went for 50-80 bucks O_O.. should have kept mine! I found a new auction that had just been listed... got a clear smokey for 7 bucks + shipping. I already had two sets of cords and controllers, so why not...
