S1500 #26 Posted April 27, 2009 I found the Intellivison Lives comp for PS2 to be terrible. It seemed slower than the real thing. Does the Xevious comp have Solavlu(sp?). It seems to be the unofficial "3D" Xevious nobody seems to remember much about.
The Eidolon #27 Posted April 27, 2009 I don't think it has it. My PS1 is not easily accessible, but according to Wikipedia, the collection has: Xevious, Super Xevious Xevious Arrangement Xevoius 3D/G I think the last one is the only 3D "style" game in the collection. CGQuarterly #28 Posted April 27, 2009 Yeah after my earlier post I read a review of Intellivision Lives, and I don't think I will be buying it unless I find it for less than $5, and then it will just be out of curiosity. Apparently it's pretty bad. Chris
deaditeash #29 Posted April 28, 2009 Well, as an adult gamer who grew up in the 70's/80's, I can't be more pleased with the compilations for Playstation 1/2! Considering the wife wouldn't even consider letting me start buying arcade cabinets the couch and a slew of arcade games on one disc is the next best thing... I have the following: Capcom Classics V1 (PS2) Capcom Classics V2 (PS2) Centipede (PS1) Fatal Fury Battle Archives V1 (PS2) Gradius III/IV (PS2) Pong (PS1) Metal Slug X (PS1) Metal Slug 4/5 (PS2) Metal Slug Anthology (PS2) Midway Arcade V1 (PS2) Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (PS2) Raiden III (PS2) Ray Storm (PS1) R Types (PS1) Samurai Showdown Anthology (PS2) Taito Legends 1 (PS2) Taito Legends 2 (PS2) World Heroes Anthology (PS2) I am planning on getting: Sega Genesis (PS2) (the newer collection) Namco Collection (which is better the first one or the 50th?) Guilty Gear (the new one or the last one XX or XX Plus I think)

So get the 50th. I might pick that one up myself. Chris
Atariboy #31 Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) The Namco 50th Anniversary Collection is much better than the initial collection last generation. The titles are now emulated and there were many more games in it. The original is now only worth owning for the arrangement games and Pac-Attack (So nothing special, imo). Intellivision Lives is pretty good for the games that didn't need the keypad during gameplay (Triple Action, Night Stalker, etc.), but for everything that used the keypad like B-17 Bomber, its useless. Solvalou is getting its first home port in the coming months as part of the Virtual Console arcade lineup on the Wii.
