I was bored, so I compiled this list.

 

Classic Video Game cameos in TV shows:

 

 

Show: My Name Is Earl

Games: Numerous

 

1. Darnell(CrabMan) has an Atari 2600, and takes polaroids of his high scores in Berzerk. He also has Pole Position.

2. Randy was at a TV station shooting bluescreen. His shirt was blue, making only his head visible. He then proceeds to go in front of the camera, mimicking Pac Man eating the weather dots.

3. A tribesman goes up to another tribesman to inform him that someone's about to get the Donkey Kong kill screen, referencing Chasing Ghosts.

Numerous games have been referenced.

1. The Warrior from Gauntlet makes a funny about needing food badly to his wife.

2. Mario & Luigi visit Liberty City

Games: Pac Man, Tetris, Dragon's Lair

 

1. A depressed Pac Man gets visited by the ghost monsters. They turn blue in an attempt to cheer him up, but Pac Man

2. Peter is a Tetris piece that gets incorrectly dropped, ruining a 4-line clearing combo.

3. Peter once finds a ColecoVision inside the fat rolls in his stomach.

4. There was a skit where Peter is Dirk the Daring in Dragon's Lair, only to slam his flying horse straight into a wall.

5. Peter asks god for the cheat codes to Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

6. Stewie tries to live with a noisy Q Bert

7. Peter plays "Menstrual" Ms. Pac Man

 

 

 

 

Show: The Simpsons

Games: Q Bert, Tetris

 

1. The Simpsons visit some rocky hill in Ireland that resembles the QBert pyramid playfield. Marge, Lisa & Bart proceed to hop around like in the game.

2. Homer is tasked with stuffing numerous items into the station wagon.

 

 

 

Show: Chuck

Games: Missile Command

 

A whole episode is centered around Missile Command, and the quest to get the hidden message inside it not unlike Cloak & Dagger by beating it.

 

 

 

Show: South park

Games: ColecoVision

 

Kenny has a ColecoVision hooked up to a black & white TV.

 

 

 

Surely I have missed quite a few shows and/or references within shows here(like the Ms. Pac Man Cabinet on Friends). Anyone know what I'm missing?
