Recommended Posts

Carol B. Shaw - programmer of River Raid amongst others - was the first female game programmer.

The designer of the POKEY (Chip C012294) also programmed the Star Raiders video game.

Jay Miner was involved with Atari heavily, with a big part in designing the TIA and other 8 bit Atari parts, before leaving and becoming involved with Hi-Toro, which lead to the development of the Amiga, in some ways expanding on his work on the Atari 8 bits. So while the ST and Amiga are fairly different machines, the Atari 800 series and Amiga could be said to be related.

There were 'adult' games for the Atari VCS/2600 - of which, Clusters Revenge would be the most infamous.

The Atari VCS/2600 CPU actually ran at a faster clock speed then the Commodore 64s CPU!
