I still have static and lines. What should I do?

Hello,

 

I bought a Gold-Plated Phono-to-F Adapter to connect my Coleco Vision to my Television, but I'm still experiencing some static while I game. What should (can) I do to get a crystal clear image to play my Coleco Vision games? For the record, the system and games are in perfect working order. Could the cable that connects my to my Gold-Plated Phono-to-F Adapter be damaged(what is this cable called?)? Is there an av cable out there?
