I'm thinking about buying an r4 for my ds but I'm not quite sure about all the details, whether it's worth it or not or where I can get it for the best price. I would appreciate hearing from those of you who have one.

I bought one a couple months ago from www.rsds.com for my son and it works great. However with the DSi out now, I'd go with a AceKard2i as it works with both the DS & DSi. If you go R4 like I did you'll just have to but a new card when and if you ever upgrade to the newer DS.

I got the Acekard 2 from r4dsusa and am really happy with it. I agree what iratanam said though, you should go with the Acekard 2i.

I hear there are better ones with better compatibility (Cyclops specifically), but I never had a problem with my R4. So far it has played every ROM I've thrown at it.
