Video #1 Posted May 6, 2009 Damnit, it's so new, it's...well....ok, I bought it roughly two years ago, but still. I was playing the other night, and it ran fine, and the next day I hooked up Monster Madness (Don't know why this got ragged on so much, its just gauntlet, with prettier graphics) and was playing through the last fault and the system said "chug" and blinked it's 3 red rings and shut off (uh...is it supposed to do that? I mean, shut off) and I was likie NOOOooooo.... >: and hit the power button, then the eject button, it didn't do anything. So I pulled the plug, and plugged it back in, turned it on and it came on, just fine. Then I started a new game and it chugged again, and cut off, no lights or nothing. I was like AAGUH, going to have to get a new one (luckily I get paid tomorrow so.... but damnit) I grabbed the console and pulled it out, and it came on, yay, then cut off again, boo. So I pulled it all the way out, and looked, it looked like the wires were hooked up OK, but I unplugged the video and power anyways, and plugged them back in, and made sure it wasn't jigggly or anything. And pushed the system back in it's slot, and pushed the power button, and it didn't come on again, pulled it out and it came on, so I just left it. Played it for several hours like that, but always paranoid it's going to quit. So...anyone in the know, is that a system failure? Or maybe, worse, the power supply is duying? (I haven't seen those for sale anywhere, and there's at least three variants that I have seen, so it's probably not easy to get) Is it just a precurser to the red ring or something? Or is it simpler? If anyone was wondering, I don't haul it around, I know some people do, but I wouldn't do that with it's er..fragile nature. It's pretty much set next to my TV since the day I got it in 07 I do have it verticle, I've heard people say that's bad, but as hot as the case itself gets, I think it stays cooler this way, and it doesn't havve stuff around it blocking holes or vents or anything. Maybe I'll put a fan on it or something. Anyhow, help? Advice? Should I be saying my prares or getting anew system? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for listening to my rant. Video #5 Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) Well, II'm not at home so I'll have to look that up later. But I bought it towards the end of 07, right before Halo 3 come out, so I don't imagine that it's that much older, they sell out regularly here. I'll check later. So far no more problems from it, maybe the wire in the power supply is dying instead? I mean, well, like it's to flexible but I don't know, other than that time I took it to a friends house to see if his network was messed up or his 360, but other than that it doesn't move so...
