Is Squish 'Em any good?

Recommended Posts

Anyone get this game from the AA Store? If so is it any good? Tell me about the game.

Only played it a few times but I like it. One of those games that can take a while to play though, well unless you are bad at it ;)

its very good and very addictive. you play as a guy hanging on the outside of a building. you have to shimmy your way across the girders and climb the building, avoiding enemies and falling objects to collect a briefcase at the top of the current floor. it gets tricky fairly early on and requires skill. the graphics and sound effects are pleasant and it has a very addictive quality to it. i got it 2 weeks or so ago and i end up playing it on an almost daily basis. its a very solid and seemingly underrated game.

I've posted reviews of 'em in my blog:

The 2005 Minigame Multicart is a great value for sheer variety (and one of the games - M-4 - has 72 variations by itself).

Squish 'Em is a perfect port of the excellent Atari 800 game.

It depends on what you're looking for. Quick games to pick up and play for just a couple of minutes, or something that will engage you for a longer game. Both are highly recommended.

Squish 'em is one of my favorite 8-bit games (for the Atari 800) bad graphics and all! Very simple concent, and very addicting. It is my understanding that the A2600 version that is out is just like the Atari 800 version which I love (which isn't surprising as honestly, the Atari 800 version is very much like a 2600 game).

I like the Colecovision version better (speech synthesis and better player sprite), but still you can't go wrong with Squish 'em.
