Best gaming gift ever given to a freind.

Everybody has done it. Yo feel generous one day and you have an extra console laying around.

Mine was I gave my friend an extra NES and a Genesis I got the day before after a couple tried selling a couple consoles to Play-N-Trade. They supposedly didn't work yet all they needed was cleaning.

I gave a friend a power-supply for his NEC Super Grafx so he could finally use it.

I sent someone a spare Dreamcast and Playstation with a few games on each once. I'll be sending them a spare genesis, snes, and a few other odds and ends pretty soon as well. A close second I suppose would be when I sent my boxed complete copies of Lunar and Lunar II (PS1) to my little sisters as christmas gifts back in 2004. They spent the previous year or so asking to borrow them over and over. ;)

A 2600 Jr (because that's the console he grew up with), joysticks, paddles, driving controllers and about 90 different cartridges. I still keep track of what's in his collection and give him things he's missing when I come up with an extra.

A couple of dreamcast consoles (one worked, one had a bad drive) and a couple of controllers, a VMU or two and a keyboard (to an AA'er for the price of shipping, so maybe it doesn't count as a gift?).

I gave my friend in 8th grade a Ninja Turtles handheld Konami game for Xmas/kris kringle. She was a huge fan of the Turtles and I found one of those handheld games at the nearby Longs Drugs.

I gave my cousin a Sega Dreamcast 6 years ago for his b-day too. Ever since that I now want one for myself. :ponder:

My Aunt and Uncle passed along there Atari 2600 with games to me when they first got married......Fast forward years later when i passed my SNES collection to there oldest son.

Circle of life/Circle of joy.....Atari 2600 put a smile on my young face and the Snes put a smile on there son's young face. :)

I gave a vader to the guy that ran the local irish pub. He set it up upstairs & it was quite a hit actually. unfortunately, drunk folks who know nothing about classic consoles & those consoles don't mix. somehow, the direct coax plug went missing & someone ripped the end off & lost that too. A few months ago the economy took it's toll & the bar closed. i swiped it back from there & now it's sitting a few feet from me waiting to be fixed & get some love again.

Peace
