I'm thinking about buying a Lynx

I'm thinking about getting a Lynx, but really, - how long this thing lasts on set of batteries?(and how many batteries Lynx takes)

Sega Nomad, Gamegear lasted about what? 40 minutes? hehe

and is there a battery pack of some sort for Lynx?

if some of you could recommend some good platformers or adventure games for it(if there are any ), that'd be appreciated.

The Lynx takes six AA batteries and there are also AC adaptors available (and external battery packs that are like bricks).

 

There are places selling it new if you look around, but you pay a premium.

 

There are actually two Lynx models....the Lynx I lasts about 4 hours on batteries and the Lynx II lasts about 5 hours. Mostly you see the Lynx II model and you can see the pictures if you look in the Atari Age Lynx section.

I use NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargables with a 2500 mAh capacity. They last about 4 to 5 hours.

Jux.st use the a/c adapter. I love my lynx.

I would definitely buy an AC adaptor, I mean unless you really plan on playing on the go of course

as many has said above, get the ac adaptor, and i even have the lighter adaptor for playing

in the car .

Buy one. Then get these platformers: Viking Child, Toki and Switchblade II. These 3 are definatly the best platformers on the Lynx.

I also mostly use the AC adaptor. But if you want the total Lynx retro experience get the huge Lynx Battery Pack

 

Good platformers: Viking Child and Scrapyard Dog are two great games. I also like, the often underrated, Gordo 106.

Highly underrated game you might like: Rygar. I find it much, much better than Switchblade II. My fav Lynx game.

My friend, go to Atari "Best electronics" (just google it, you will see it) and buy the specially made slick looking battery pack they sell. It rocks, looks good, and gives long life....
