Gears of War = Spicy?

I was reading a newsgroup for the XBOX and someone posts this title:

 

"Gears of War Manuals have a spicy smell"

 

So, naturally I was like WTF and had to read it. It says

 

"I have GOW 1 for the PC and GOW 2 for the xbox 360. The manuals for both have a spicy smell that no other game manuals have. Did you guys notice this? Did they add that smell on purpose or what? Why is it there?"

 

Someone replied:

 

"All I have to say to that is WTF?"

 

Someone else replied:

 

"I too have a gaming manual fetitsh, HAHAHA"

 

... my friend is going home from work to sniff his now.

I regret that I purchased my copy used, disc only, lest I could enjoy this nasal pleasure of which you speak. (It was $9.99, which is a pretty fantastic deal. I printed out the cover art.) Interestingly, though, my cat just walked over near the 360 and sneezed.
