Devin #26 Posted May 22, 2009 Great likeness of Mr T! Here's my non-human submissions some of you may recognise. yeah, I swiped the cigar idea. It's Trogdor!
Bakasama #27 Posted May 22, 2009 Still playing with graphics. I think these might have licensing issues... I don't know if Mr. T. is copyrighted but the idea of punching out Mr. T. is just insanely cool. Say, do you think you can make Rocky and Apollo Creed just to see if that's possible. +Cafeman #28 Posted May 23, 2009 A question -- it looks like the graphics have square pixels and not rectangular ones like I'm familiar with (A8/5200). True, or are you just combining 2 rectangular pixels on top each other?
Devin #29 Posted May 23, 2009 A question -- it looks like the graphics have square pixels and not rectangular ones like I'm familiar with (A8/5200). True, or are you just combining 2 rectangular pixels on top each other? Yes, I'm combining two scanlines per "pixel". I had to do this to have enough time to update everything. Basically, during scanline 1, I update GRP0, COLUP0, COLUPF, move the ball, and clear GRP1 (human). During scanline 2, I update the background, GRP1, and increment the loop variables. espire8 #30 Posted May 23, 2009 Here's my non-human submissions some of you may recognise.yeah, I swiped the cigar idea. It's Trogdor! Nah, it's Albert the Ol' cigar chomping crocodile from the 50's "Pogo" comic strips. He's using the same chest/leg graphics as the Roo, so I know this character is doable! The dragon is questionable though; it's not your standard build so it may not work. Just fantasizing.
MrBeefy #31 Posted June 21, 2009 This needs a bump and I'll show what I've tried to make so far... The guy on the left is the flamboyant Luscious Lips with long pink hair and the other one is as close as I can come to my character Mr. Beefy!
espire8 #32 Posted June 21, 2009 Glad to see others submitting! I like the design! The character on the left look fine except for the two lines top of the boots that have two colors on the same lines where it needs to be one color. Same problem for the guy on the right with the arms. The grid for the body (the blank white fill-in area) can only have one color per line. Only the gray area for the gloves can be colored separately. I can try to fix that for you if you allow me --just so that other submitters can follow what's wrong here and not repeat the same mistake.

Ah see I wasn't thinking as a line going all the way across I was just looking at the white and considering each white line a separate line. Feel free to fix it so it fits the standards. espire8 #34 Posted June 22, 2009 Here you go. I had to change the red forearms to purple. There's less notice in difference for the boots, still looks as good as your first though. Hope you like it.
