CPUWIZ #4 Posted September 22, 2009 For security reasons, I can't use money orders, otherwise I would have wanted Crack'ed and Jinks.
+save2600 #5 Posted September 22, 2009 For security reasons, I can't use money orders, otherwise I would have wanted Crack'ed and Jinks. rotflmao! Exactly. Usually the other way around. Unless of course, you're talking about all the personal, banking and credit card info that ScamPal "needs" :-(
VectorGamer #6 Posted September 22, 2009 Sadly, you can't sell this stuff unless you use Paypal because "it's convenient." I don't want to give Paypal access to my bank accounts and it doesn't make sense for an infrequent seller like myself to set up additional accounts for this stuff. Most likely I'll wind up putting this up on eBay along with 2600 and CV carts in one lot to justify someone spending 75 cents on a money order. Or Craigslist it first for cash. And the other risk is getting hit by a car on the way to the post office. Not even gonna mention the price of the MO or the 91 octane gasoline my car requires. Or Craigslist it first for cash. ePay forces you to accept ScamPal as a form of payment now. Oh and CPUWIZ, yeah... when I said "usually the other way around", I was agreeing with your sentiment that, as a buyer, money orders are more risky (but they can be tracked if need be). But some of us still feel PayPal is not safe in the sense that *they* have access to all your information and WILL do chargeback's with little or no notice in an unfair scenario (say the buyer lies about receiving an item) and you didn't bugger to get delivery confirmation or tracking. As a seller these days and in order to protect yourself from the overtly "consumer friendly" PayPal, one must ALWAYS get tracking on their shipments :-)
