Towering Inferno problem.

Ok guys, I just picked up TI today at a flea market and when I got home to test it, the helicopter is on top of the building, I hit reset and the building is on fire and the heli comes down. But, when I'm actually the fireman in the building I can't move. I tried a few other Atari games and they all work fine, but my fireman refuses to move. Is there something wrong with this cart or did he fry instantly?

The joystick has to be plugged in the right port for this one. Everyone has the same problem with this game. The instruction manual makes no mention of using the joystick in the right port.

Ti is one of my favorites when I fire up the 'ol Atari.

Yeah, I bought it because it is one of the first games I remember playing on my first Atari system which was a 7800. Now that I can play it on my 2600 4 switch I got recently, it makes it that more enjoyable. I like the cart's label too.

I got this game back as a kid, when KB was clearing out all of their 2600 games for a couple of bucks each. My brother and I loved it. It's weird, fun, frantic and just ... odd. Nothing else quite like it. Good game.
