Hacking Ms. Pac-Man question

I'm "working" on a Ms. Pac-Man hack (it's actually a hack of a hack ) and i already changed all the graphics and colors in the game...

 

I ain't no programmer so i just wanted to ask if there's an easy way to tweak the gameplay a bit with HOM? Maybe make Ms. Pac-man move a bit faster, change the scoring and the sounds? Anything else that could be changed to make it a bit more different from the original game?
