Godzilla #1 Posted May 21, 2009 http://tdgmods.blogspot.com/ what do you think? nice to see a new dc title that isn't 1) a shooter 2) a puzzler or 3) a BOR mod
kroogur #2 Posted May 22, 2009 I like it! It's kind of like Doom meets Redneck Rampage with a splash of Evil Dead. I like the weapon choices especially the "flame thrower"
nonner242 #3 Posted May 22, 2009 http://tdgmods.blogspot.com/ what do you think? nice to see a new dc title that isn't 1) a shooter 2) a puzzler or 3) a BOR mod well...not bad or good looking to me. I will wait and see how it comes along. Just feels like stuff I have seen before...other than the hairspray torch! But at least its something new! AtticGamer #4 Posted May 22, 2009 I'm curious about this one, it would be good if there was no vertical aiming (Quake Arena for DS won't have it too).
Lord Helmet #5 Posted May 22, 2009 I'm curious about this one, it would be good if there was no vertical aiming (Quake Arena for DS won't have it too). I'm not sure I understand you...why would you not want vertical aiming?

I'm not sure I understand you...why would you not want vertical aiming? I think he means like the old Doom and Wolfenstein games where you just moved horizontal. I think this game looks kick ass. I hope it becomes available to buy.

I'm not sure I understand you...why would you not want vertical aiming? Because the Dreamcast controller is not apt for a game that requires free look, and not everyone has a keyboard and mouse. tjb #8 Posted May 23, 2009 It looks like a port of Blood 2. Anybody play Blood 2 back in the day? I loved the original Blood. Blood 2 multiplayer wasn't bad either. tjb

Half Life worked well on the DC you moved with the 4 action buttons and looked with the analog stick.
moycon #10 Posted May 23, 2009 Half Life worked well on the DC you moved with the 4 action buttons and looked with the analog stick. I didn't play it for very long and it was a long while ago, but from what I remember, Half Life on the DC didn't work well at all, in fact it kind of controlled like ass. MN12BIRD #11 Posted May 23, 2009 Well I didn't think so. I thought Quake III was fine too.
moycon #12 Posted May 23, 2009 Well I didn't think so. I thought Quake III was fine too. I'll have to try it out again. I just remember not liking it much, but like I said that was years ago. Been wanting to fire up the ol DC anyways.
Hyper_Eye #13 Posted May 23, 2009 I couldn't ever really get into trying Half-Life on the DC because I felt like I was wasting my life away on loading screens. It just loaded so much. It was not fit for human consumption. I loved Blood. That was an amazing game. I also love Doom and Doom-like games (click my sig... you know you want to.) This game looks promising to me. It looks to be right up my alley.
Godzilla #14 Posted May 25, 2009 I was really impressed with DC half-life, especially how much better it looked than the pc version at the time, really enjoyed it. I thought the dc did fine with modern-style free look first person shooters. Didn't it have an unreal and that kiss game, I also liked outrigger in a uber-twitchy sorta way. nathanallan #15 Posted May 25, 2009 I like it, too! Same here, I want to buy it when it comes out.
Cynn #16 Posted May 31, 2009 Analog stick for looking and four buttons for moving... Not much different than a WASD and KB set up. I never had problems with DC shooters.
Video #17 Posted May 31, 2009 Think it looks cool...wait, a FPS that isn't a shooter? Hope that's a typo dude J/K Personally, looks like a Darkversion of Doom, maybe evil dead and quake mangled together? Cool looking, I may just have to pick that up when it comes out And, whle I won't swear it's on the Doom engine, I will say that it probably has auto vertical ameing, if it has vertical stages at all... (not enough info eitherr way) DC isn't particularly well suited to full controll FPS IMO, but Doom type stuff works perfectly fine on it.

The engine is Edge and it is derived from the Doom engine. The game itself is inspired by Blood which was a great game.
the.golden.ax #19 Posted June 1, 2009 Awesome, can't wait. I hope you guys keep this updated. Dreamcast is ready to be born again. AX
