I finally got a "fixed" Missile Command cart

By "fixed" I am quoting what Rob Fullop said in a DVD documentary I watched a while back. On game 13 if you score 0 points then his initials "RF" will appear in place of the destroyed right-most base.

 

Many a Missile Command cart has passed through my hands while collecting Atari stuff for the last 3 years and all of them had the easter egg still in the code. I finally got one where the people at Atari took it out.

 

I am wondering how rare or common this variation is.

Hard to say. Unless you dump the cart you have to play it for a bit so I don't think a lot of people will try. I dumped about five carts a few years back, but didn't find one. Finally Al dumped one that had this variation.

 

 

I think the variation without his intials is more uncommon though.
