Heaven/TQA #1 Posted May 24, 2009 as playing around with the VBXE stuff I need Atari++ as emulation... I was wondering following (and don't tell me to read the manual... ) how can I avoid the accept/deny dialog at the beginning? my batch file looks like following: mads %1 xboot %1.obx d:\programmieren\atari++vbxe\atari++ -enable.1 1 -image.1 %1.atr atari++ mounts correct the image but I still have to use the mouse to click away the start up mesage? any ideas to avoid that? The one that requires you to accept the licence conditions? Go to the F1 menu, click on "Machine" on the left, scroll down the right hand screen, there you'll find an option "Accept Licence". Toggle that, go back to the preferences "Prefs" item on the left, then click into "Save configuration As", press RETURN. Done. Rybags #3 Posted May 24, 2009 RTFHTML... as opposed to RTFM Atari++ -acceptlicence 1 That would appear to skip the Accept/Deny licence prompt at the start.
Heaven/TQA #4 Posted May 24, 2009 Thomas... it is tickered and saved in the config but when running my batch file it still appears at the beginning... but not when I am starting the emulator via double click... Rybags, thanks... works... seems I am switching over from Atari800win towards Atari++ as I am getting used to the short cuts and the monitor...
thorfdbg #5 Posted May 25, 2009 Thomas... it is tickered and saved in the config but when running my batch file it still appears at the beginning... but not when I am starting the emulator via double click... It looks for the preferences file in the current directory, the home directory and a special place under /etc. If moving the saved file to your home directory does not work, I'll need to check that - might be a windows problem. What's the preferred way under win to get the path to the home directory?? So long, Thomas
pps #6 Posted May 25, 2009 I didn´t look deeper into that thing, but I noticed when I tested the special VBXE version of ATARI++, that there seems to be no difference, if you check or uncheck the option. Every start, you have to accept the licence. The "normal" version works right for me.
laoo #7 Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) Maybe I've broke something. Strange. I'll check. EDIT: Nope. Nothing seems to be wrong. If there is some problem I do not experience it. If I save the state in directory of atari++ it's always loaded and license is already accepted and all other settings are set. Heaven/TQA #8 Posted May 25, 2009 anyway... the thing worls via batch file so fine by me now.... (with -accept.licence 1)
flashjazzcat #9 Posted May 25, 2009 Possibly doesn't warrant a new thread, but how do you get this emulator to run in full screen mode? I have a batch file including "-frontend SDL" and "-fullscreen 1" and it's still stubbornly windowed in Win7. It would be nice to switch to full screen at times in emulation but Atari800Win turns pink on green on my PC, Atari800MacX crashes the OS on my "Hackintosh" installation which switching to full screen, and... well, that's it. Atari++ is pretty damned good and I'd love to run it full screen...
Heaven/TQA #10 Posted May 25, 2009 as I have a hackintosh running, too... Atari++ would be good as Mac port... at least the vbxe version...
laoo #11 Posted May 26, 2009 Possibly doesn't warrant a new thread, but how do you get this emulator to run in full screen mode? VBXE patch currently does not allow to run full screen (Although it is possible and I'll try to reintroduce it). I've warned you. It's a crippled Atari++. Original Atari++ with SDL frontend runs full screen without problems.
Urchlay #12 Posted May 26, 2009 VBXE patch currently does not allow to run full screen (Although it is possible and I'll try to reintroduce it). I've warned you. It's a crippled Atari++. Oddly, when I was messing with it to get it working on Linux, I could *only* get it to run fullscreen (well, I could make it windowed by editing the source, but the patch I sent you doesn't have that edit). flashjazzcat #14 Posted May 26, 2009 I tried the non-VBXE version of Atari++ in fullscreen mode and the monitor won't sync with it! What kind of resolution and frequency does fullscreen run in?
