CGQuarterly #2 Posted May 31, 2009 The mod to turn Dom into a souped-up Wolfenstein 3D is really cool. Chris

Video #4 Posted May 31, 2009 I always wanted to dabble in makeing my own levels for doom, but never could get any of the editors to work...ah well. Still wouldn't mind trying some of other peoples stuff (a wolf, or quake mod would be cool IMO)

Helpful for making Doom mods/custom levels. Chris

Chris Cool, didn't know there was a book on that, I'll definitely look it up, thanks a lot Don't remember the program, but I did eventually get one that I could put a level together, and even look at it, but as soon as I tried saving, the computer locked up...and was just like damn... teh_d3th_st4r #12 Posted August 15, 2009 My favorite wads would have to be the Eric Harris Columbine Highschool levels, they are wicked eerie to play now, but my morbid fascination of psychotic killers wins me over every time.

I have thousands of wads but not that one.. When I was in HS, I actually thought it would be a neat project to make a Quake level that was a complete duplicate of my school. Then Columbine happened, and I figured such a project would get me way more attention than I wanted...

I have thousands of wads but not that one.. It's a wad that was actually made by Eric Harris back in 1998 or so, It was called Tier. I think the level is pretty hard to find, I personally have mine saved to a zip disk in my closet somewhere.

And Doom 3 could have been better.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> The Saturn version is terrible. The Jag version owns. The Saturn version was terrible yes, but I wouldnt say that the Jag version owned, I mean, the lack of music is no good. The only good ports were SNES and PSX. Now, before anyone starts about the SNES port being chuggy and blocky, keep in mind it was one of the only ports that kept all of the original music (actually sounded better in my opinion), all of the original secrets, all three episodes, and all weapons and enemies.. which to me is much more important than graphics and speed (ie, 32x port was pretty, and fast, but lacked decent music, half the levels, no bosses, and no bfg :-( so basically it was like playing the shareware version). I actually created a Doom mod recently. Its a TC, but I cant get the midis to work.. however, this WAD will replace ALL textures, sprites, graphics, enemies, weapons and sounds. If anyone is interested in making levels for this, let me know. Also, it would be a great deal of help, and add to the legitimate Mario atmosphere if I could send someone the midis to be converted to .mus, or if someone could put them in there. Well, here it is, check out! I recommend running this with Edge, using DOOM. http://www.mediafire.com/file/vkzxrmwmmj3/Doomed%20Super%20Mario.zip Please play through enough levels before commenting back! Thanks Once again, I strongly recommend using EDGE since that is the engine I used to test this(obtainable through doomworld.com) to run this, simply drag the wad into the edge icon. Not all computers will run this. Man, there are FAR too many custom wads out there for me to pick a favorite :-)
