ApolloBoy #1 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) I'm looking to get into the Amiga scene and I thought I'd start out with something simple like an A1000, 1200, 500 or 600. I'm only looking for the computer with mouse and power supply (and the Kickstart disk and keyboard for the A1000). For the A500 I'll need the A520 as I don't want to bother with another monitor. Of course, the computer will need to be NTSC as I don't have much use for a PAL system. Feel free to submit any offers. ApolloBoy #5 Posted June 3, 2009 I have an Amiga 1000 in the box, the Amiga is used but the box is in good shape I want the box...no joke! Hm, that sounds good. I don't really have room for another system box, so maybe I can get the system and Nonner can get the box?

I had an A500,A600 and a A3000! mmmm if i could get one back... which one should i get? As much as I love my ST.... i had a couple of fun years with the Amiga.... Before I moved onto windows machines... I was really tempted to get a 1200. What a nice looking machine..... At that time i was so far out from the ST scene i never even heard of the Falcon. sorry... wrong place to discuss this.. Zeptari1 #14 Posted June 6, 2009 Just found this on criagslist, this really breaks my heart: http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/sys/1206453670.html Here's what's on the link: There is art, animation, and music of a very talented but deceased artist on these computers. But the truth is, I'm never going to excavate it, so please, come and take it away, and it's yours for free. We are having a local electronics recycling day here next Saturday (June 13th), so if you want this stuff, you must come and take it away before that. Amiga 2000 and 1000 w/256K ram card, Disk Drive 1010, Monitor 1080, 2 keyboards, 3 mice, Wico Joystick, Volks Omega 80, Digiview Video Digitizer, Soundscape Stereo Sound Sampler, plus tons of Amiga paint, animation, and music software and games, including Photon Paint, Deluxe Paint III, Interfont 3D, The Director, Dynamic Drums, Merge 3-D Sculpt-Animate, Scribble, Calligrapher, The Music Studio, Instant Music and lots, lots more. PLUS: Commodore 64 (missing the Escape key) and 1541 Disk Drive and Passport midi interface. All items worked fine the last time they were fired up, 2 or 3 years ago. But no guarantees. If you are an artist or animator, you will almost certainly find what's on the computers of interest and well worth the trouble. PICK UP ONLY. BEFORE JUNE 13TH ONLY. After that, it's recycled. Northeast Pennsylvania (Shohola, Pike County). I hope someone here can make it there before he throws it all out... it's a 3-1/2 hour ride from my house....a little too far... -rick
