MadBodies review on ThumbPad

Recommended Posts

I reviewed it on ThumbPad podcast, Episode 104.

You can download it via the ThumbPad website (www.thumbpad.com.au - ThumbPad) or via iTunes.

We've received a lot of positive comments on it across various websites/Forums/PM's so i hope you enjoy it.

I've been playing Mad Bodies regularly, and I have a lot of questions about how to improve my play...

I find now that I can defeat the first boss without using TOO many continues (like two or three) but I get wasted once I get past him. I've never seen the second boss!

One thing I've found: when facing off against the first boss I collect astronauts. If I collect several of them and return them to the space station, my paddle gets a couple of purple guys and when I press 'A' the paddle shoots up the screen. However, I don't see the point, as raising the paddle higher on the screen really doesn't do me much good.

Also, one time when I had the purple paddle, I somehow started shooting zillions of green bullets vertically up the screen. This was a big help for wiping out the enemy ships - but I can't figure out what I did to do this. Was it rescuing a certain number of astronauts after already having the purple paddle..?

It sure would be nice to get some hints on how to better play this game!

Once you have the purple paddle, collect several astronauts (I think about 5) and do NOT deliver them to a space station. This will get the awesome "vertical shot" power-up and is the key to getting decent scores (300,000+). Hope that helps. :)

IMHO...

the Mad Bodies guys should add a 'hints' page to their site...

I could use some help at getting better with this game! :ponder:
